Privacy Policy
Photo2Skin Online is a small, independent early-access website. This page explains, in plain words, what happens to your data when you use it.
The short version
- Your photo is not uploaded. It is only shown on your own screen.
- There are no accounts. We don’t ask for your name or email.
- We use Google Analytics 4 (through Google Tag Manager) to count visits and a few button clicks.
Your photo
When you choose or drop a photo, your browser shows a preview of it using a temporary local link (a blob: URL). The image file is not sent to us or to anyone else, and it is not stored on any server. The preview disappears when you close or reload the tab. The only thing recorded about it is that a photo was chosen and its file type (for example “png” or “jpeg”), as an analytics event.
Analytics
This site loads Google Tag Manager, which loads Google Analytics 4. Google Analytics records page views and these events: a photo was chosen (file type only), you joined the queue (with the style and edition you picked), you stayed in the queue for 60 seconds, and you clicked the bookmark button. It also collects the usual technical details such as browser, device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the page that referred you.
Google Analytics uses first-party cookies (such as _ga) to tell visits apart. The data is processed by Google; see Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on; the site keeps working either way.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse.
On photo2skin.online, Cloudflare Web Analytics also measures page loads and page performance (such as load time, the page visited and the referring site); it is privacy-friendly, sets no cookies and never receives your photo.
Children
We don’t ask anyone, of any age, for personal information. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian before using the site.
Changes
If the way the site works changes, for example if photos ever need to be sent to a server to make a skin, we will update this page before that happens and change the date at the top.
